Created by Nova Orison, this album identity transforms conceptual research into a cohesive visual language that extends the experience of the music beyond sound.
CHALLENGE
Nova Orison was commissioned to develop the visual identity for Circle Within a Circle, creating artwork that could express the album's expansive and exploratory themes. The creative direction began by immersing in a lecture by Kilindi Iyi, using its philosophical and symbolic ideas as a conceptual foundation. The challenge was to translate those influences into a visual language that fit the Ectogasmics created music.
WHAT WE DID
Developed the complete album package through a collaborative, iterative process. We began by presenting a selection of visual directions informed by the project’s conceptual research, then worked closely with the artists to identify the strongest path forward. From there, we refined the imagery, typography, composition, and supporting artwork across the front cover, back cover, and interior materials, shaping a unified visual system that extends the experience of the music into a lasting physical artifact.
